The Last Witness

20181hr 37 minsNot rated,

An ambitious young journalist uncovers the horrific slaughter of twenty-two thousand Polish officers during World War II. A secret that has been kept hidden for far too many years.

Set immediately after the conclusion of World War II, this historical drama follows the path of a driven, young journalist who is set to uncover a hidden atrocity. Among the countless horrors of the great war, journalist Stephen Underwood – played by Englishman Alex Pettyfer – discovers a cover-up that was concealing the slaughter of thousands of Polish officers by billing the deaths as suicides.

The film is based on true events, and moves like a murder mystery, as witnesses and events are gradually connected, while a web of deception is pulled aside.

This is another film that I’ve yet to see in full, having only watched the tense trailer thus far. If you’ve watched the movie, please leave your thoughts within the “Reviews” section on this website. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
